AALVAA is based in Grasbrunn, just east of Munich. A shoot in the city, on the lakes or in the Alps is a drive for us, not a mobilisation - and the river wave that half of Munich walks past every day is where we have filmed for years.
These are postings in our media archive that were shot in Munich or carry the city and its river wave. Counted the same way as everything else on this site.
Where these come from, and what is not in them. Our own media archive - the same record every other number on this site is counted from. Counted views on the postings themselves - not impressions, not reach. Two further posts, worth 50,101 views, are Munich community accounts publishing work that credits us; they are in the total of 11 posts and 3,151,693 views, but they are not our postings and are not shown as our own. A ticket giveaway that named the city is excluded: nothing was filmed for it.

A standing wave in the middle of a city park, surfed year-round, in snow and in heat. It is fast, shallow and busy, which is exactly why most crews get one usable angle out of it. Five posts from that wave carry 2,088,677 counted views between them, and our own Eisbach shoots go back to 2019.
We have filmed on the ISPO München floor and cut it into a highlights film that carries 199,062 counted views. Fair days are long, badge-gated and lit badly; the workflow that survives a five-day championship survives a five-day fair.
Two posts made around MunichMash weekends carry 487,233 counted views. Action sport in a city centre is our normal working environment - moving athletes, moving crowds, no second take.
Tegernsee, Starnberger See, Chiemsee and the Alps are inside a two-hour drive. Alpine lake production is not new ground for us: we have produced a full event on one, at Engadinwind in the Swiss Alps.
A film for Honigland, made in Munich and titled Kindergarten Wonderland: a little over a minute long. Both the client and the city are named by the film itself.
Why this film has no number on it. It is a finished client master on our own account rather than a social posting, so there is no counted-views figure behind it - and for that reason it is not added to the Munich totals at the top of this page. Company and brand films of this kind have their own page: corporate & commercial.
A stand-up paddle brand near Salzburg in Austria - inside the same two-hour drive as the lakes and the Alps above. We make brand and product film for them, in German, for a German-speaking audience.
Be clear about what this is. These films were not shot in Munich and they are not counted in the Munich figures at the top of this page. They are here because a client an easy drive away is the practical version of being based in this region: no travel days, no freight, no mobilisation.

What is in this set, and what is not. 0 films of ours sit on this brand's channel, carrying 0 counted views between them, from to : a product film for the boards, a brand film about the community that rides them, and a travel film from a paddle trip to the Lofoten islands in Norway. Product, brand and story for one client, which is usually the whole list a smaller brand needs. It is a short set and it is the complete one - the rest of that channel is the brand's own and we do not claim it. The working relationship is older than these films: the first thing we made for them was a commissioned product film for a bag launch in 2017, filmed in Tarifa, which sits on the brand's Facebook page under our camera credit. It is named here rather than counted, because it is not a posting in our own archive.
Most of the friction on a city production is not the camera. It is permission, airspace and people. This is the part we take off your desk.
Nothing on this page states a certificate number, a policy number or an operator ID. Those exist, and they go to the person who needs them, on request - they are not marketing copy.
Sport is where we come from, but the working method - long days, fixed schedules, aerial and on-water positions, deliverables out the same day - transfers to a lot of what this region actually buys. Here is that list, with the reason each one transfers. These are capabilities, not past clients: where we have already done the work, it says so above.
A Munich shoot carries no travel days and no freight, and anywhere in Bavaria is a drive. Send the date and the location and we will tell you what is possible on it.
